- Netizens weigh in on the controversy, calling Nedu out for being insincere
Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia has denied claims of being associated with drug dealers and internet fraudsters, following the release of a leaked voice note by social media critic, VeryDarkMan.
Earlier, the legal representative of Nedu Wazobia had issued VeryDarkMan a pre-action notice for defamation. In response, the critic leaked an audio recording allegedly featuring Nedu's voice, suggesting his connection to illicit dealings.
However, Nedu has taken to social media via his Instagram story, on Wednesday, February 26 to vehemently deny the allegations, stating that he knows nothing about the voice note.
"Hello Everyone, This is not a joke anymore !!! I know nothing about that voice note going around !!! I didn't make that voice note !!! While this seems to be fun and games, I have never and will never be part of anything criminal !!!”
The controversy between Nedu and VeryDarkMan stemmed from when VeryDarkMan accused Nedu of speaking about him on The Honest Bunch Podcast. VDM further alleged that Nedu had leaked secrets about him and engaged in illicit activities with women before featuring them in skits.
