VeryDarkMan addresses allegations, warns Nedu over Honest Bunch Podcast
VeryDarkMan responds to allegations from Honest Bunch podcast, threatens Nedu
  • Social media critic Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has responded to allegations made by Deeone on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he was accused of being gay, hypocritical, and biased
  • VeryDarkMan threatened to reveal the identities of women whom podcast host Nedu allegedly claimed to have slept with, suggesting they were given a platform on the show
  • He also alleged that Nedu's podcast prioritises views, money, and gossip over meaningful discussions and serious issues affecting Nigerians

Social media critic Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has addressed allegations made against him on the recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, hosted by Nedu and featuring Deeone.

Earlier, Deeone had accused VeryDarkMan of having affairs with men, hypocritical, and biased toward religious leaders triggering reactions on social media.

In the video posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday, February 11, VeryDarkMan explained that he initially chose not to respond to the allegations but felt compelled to do so after receiving numerous tags and links to the podcast.

He addressed the issue of Nigerians not tagging the episode as an attempt to distract Nigerians from more relevant issues, such as Nnamdi Kanu's fight for freedom.

He claimed that the criticism he faced was partly due to his decision to decline an invitation to appear on the show.

VeryDarkMan stated that he would not pursue legal action or involve the police in the matter, saying, "I am a street boy, ghetto boy; I can't take anybody to court."

He added that people are free to say or believe what they want.

Sharing screenshots of his WhatsApp conversation with Nedu, VeryDarkMan explained that he turned down the invitation because the podcast focused on gossip and irrelevant topics instead of meaningful discussions. He further alleged that the podcast's primary motive was financial gain.

He further alleged that the reason Deeone questioned his sexuality was an act of revenge. VeryDarkMan claimed Deeone’s attack on his sexuality was an act of revenge as he(VDM) had previously exposed the sexuality of Deeone's godfather's son, who prefers to have relations with men.

VeryDarkMan issued Nedu a threat

In a warning to Nedu, VeryDarkMan threatened to disclose the names of women Nedu allegedly claimed to have slept with to give them a platform.

This warning followed a phone call from his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, the contents of which remain undisclosed but may have involved a threat from Nedu.

He stated:

“Nedu Wazobia, I want to warn you. If Deji Adeyanju, my lawyer calls me again in respect to you, I will start by listing all the girls you have had sexual encounters with to give them a platform. I will start with the names you told me personally.”

VeryDarkMan also advised guests on the podcast to "wise up" and be aware of Nedu's tactics. He suggested that if Nedu could offer him a car to appear on the show, other guests may also be able to benefit financially from their appearances.

“80% of social media users are dumb,” VeryDarkMan blows hot on N180 Million saga

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that VeryDarkman confirmed that the alleged N180 million disappearance from his NGO funds was a prank aimed at teaching Nigerians a lesson. The public critic got emotional and did not hold back, slamming those who criticised him

Despite his explanation, he faced backlash from celebrities like Deeone and Isaac Fayose, who condemned the prank and vowed to petition against similar occurrences in the future.
