- Chika Ike has denied rumours linking Ned Nwoko to her unborn child, stating he is not the father
- The actress emphasised her desire for privacy, saying only discloses information on her terms
- She also confirmed she has been pregnant for months, but kept it under wraps until her recent announcement
Nollywood actress Chika Ike has addressed ongoing speculation about the paternity of her unborn child, finally breaking her silence on the matter.
Rumours recently emerged linking billionaire Ned Nwoko to the baby, which led his team to issue a statement denying the claims.
In response, Chika Ike took to her Instagram account (@chikaike) on Tuesday, February 18, sharing adorable baby bump photos while setting the record straight. She wrote:
"FALSE! FALSE! FALSE! There have been all sorts of lies paddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are,
“RUMOURS THAT NEEDED NO RESPONSE. But this is different, this is about my CHILD.... You all do not know anything about me! Because you CAN'T! Except I choose to disclose.
“Yes, I'm that PRIVATE! Ned isn't the Father of my child, and whoever name you might come up with later with your guessing games, and like I've said before, I'm not about to be anyone's 7th wife! Polygamy isn't for me.”
She added that despite keeping her pregnancy private for months, people continue to speculate about the father, which she finds "laughable and clueless."
"I've been pregnant for months now, and no one even had a clue about my pregnancy until I announced it, and you all think you'll know who the father of my child is or anything happening in my life? Very laughable and Clueless!
“Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don't care about rumours because I understand it comes with my career choice, and the only reason I'm responding to this rumour is because this is about my child.
Moving on, the expecting mom, expressed that her priority is her peace and pregnancy, stating that her privacy is paramount and nothing can disturb her as she enjoys this moment.
"My privacy is my peace, and NO ONE can unsettle me. I'm basking in the euphoria of my pregnancy, and that's all that matters to me now."

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa, who recently gave birth to a baby boy in the US, clapped back at a critic who inquired about her baby's father.
Amusa's statement sparked speculation that she was shading her colleague, Opeyemi Aiyeola.
Netizens speculated fellow actress Opeyemi Ayeola was the anonymous critic, but she later cleared the air, denying any involvement.
