Post-UTME (Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) is the examination conducted for UTME/Direct Entry students who have registered for a particular institution. It is usually conducted after the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Earlier, JAMB announced July 19, 2024 as the commencement date for the sale of 2024/2025 Post-UTME forms for all Nigerian Universities. On the other hand, JAMB announced January 5, 2025 as the closing date for the online registration of Post-UTME.
Nigerian universities announce post-UTME dates
- Federal Universities
1. University of Calabar (UNICAL)
UNICAL Post-UTME screening examination will commence on August 20, 2024 for the 2024/2025 session. The closing date for registration is August 13, 2024.
2. Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH)
The post-UTME online screening for the 2024/2025 academic session commenced on August 5, 2024, and it is closing on August 14, 2024.
3. Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK)
The online screening exercise for post-UTME commenced on August 1, 2024, for the 2024/2025 academic session, and it will close on August 31, 2024.
4. University Of Uyo (UNIUYO)
The post-UTME online screening exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session commenced on August 7, 2024, and the registration will close on August 31, 2024.
5. University Of Abuja (UNIABUJA)
The online registration for the 2024/2025 session commenced on July 29, 2024, and it is closing on August 29, 2024.
6. University Of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT)
The screening examination for the 2024/2025 session will commence on September 10, 2024. The closing date for the registration is August 19, 2024.
7. University Of Nigeria (UNN)
The online screening exercise for Post-UTME will commence on August 26, 2024, and the closing date for the registration is August 23, 2024.
8. Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE)
The registration for the 2024/2025 online screening commenced on July 29, 2024 and the closing date is August 24, 2024.
9. Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA)
The online screening exercise for Post-UTME commenced on July 29, 2024 and it will close on September 13, 2024.
10. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
The Post-UTME examination for 2024/2025 will commence on August 20, 2024. The closing date for the screening registration is August 18, 2024.
11. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)
ABU’s Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on September 10, 2024, while the closing date for registration is August 29, 2024.
12. Bayero University Kano (BUK)
The Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session commenced on July 29, 2024, and the closing date for the registration is August 29, 2024.
13. University Of Ibadan (UI)
UI Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on September 16, 2024. The closing date for the online registration is August 31, 2024.
14. Federal University Wukari (FUWUKARI)
The Post-UTME online screening for the 2024/2025 academic session began on July 29, 2024 and will end on August 29, 2024.
15. Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO)
FUTO’s online post-UTME screening for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on August 1, 2024 while the closing date for online registration is August 31, 2024.
16. University Of Benin (UNIBEN)
The Post-UTME examination for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on September 10, 2024. The closing date for online registration is August 29, 2024.

UNILAG Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on September 2, 2024. The closing date for UNILAG’s Post-UTME online registration and screening is August 23, 2024.
18. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)
OAU Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on September 15, 2024. The closing date for online registration and screening is September 1, 2024.
19. Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA)
The Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on September 20, 2024. The closing date for FUTA Post-UTME online registration and screening is the same September 20.
20. Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC)
POLAC’s Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session commenced on July 29, 2024. The closing date for POLAC Post-UTME online registration and screening is August 29, 2024.

4. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH)
LAUTECH Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on September 11, 2024. The closing date for LAUTECH Post-UTME online registration and screening is September 6, 2024.
5. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU)

JAMB gives varsities, other institutions 1 month to disclose illegal admissions
Meanwhile, TheRadar previously reported that the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) instructed all Nigerian institutions to disclose illegal admissions that were conducted outside the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) prior to 2017.
This was to ensure transparency and fairness in the admission process.
