The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that a total of 12,860 candidates have so far registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Jigawa State.
The announcement was made in a statement issued to journalists on Wednesday, February 18, in Dutse by the JAMB Public Relations Officer in the state, Mukarram Bello Adamu.
“The candidates registered in 16 Computer-based test centers across the state,” Adamu said.
He provided a breakdown of the figures, noting that the JAMB State Office recorded 1,740 candidates, while centers at Federal University Dutse registered 4,936 candidates. Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic accounted for 1,622 candidates.
Other centres that recorded significant numbers include Future Map Foundation Centre with 1,662 candidates, and Jigawa State College of Education which registered 2,287 candidates. The Jigawa State College of Advanced and Remedial Studies enrolled 134 candidates.
Adamu further stated that Jigawa State Institute of Information Technology registered 569 candidates, while Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic recorded 596 candidates. Sule Lamido University registered 28 candidates.
Additional centres include BHT Inter Systems with 1,091 candidates, Al Hikmah CBT Center with 728 candidates, and G-City College of Nursing Sciences which registered 678 candidates.
The JAMB spokesperson reminded candidates that the sale of UTME PINs will end on February 26, while UTME registration will close on February 28.
Speaking on Direct Entry, Adamu stated that, “The Direct Entry Registration will commence from March 2, 2026, to April 25, 2026, at JAMB office Dutse only.”
He encouraged eligible candidates to utilise the opportunity to complete their registration within the stipulated timeframe.
“The registration process is ongoing, and candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline,” he reaffirmed.
Adamu also assured prospective candidates of a seamless registration exercise and urged them to visit the JAMB website for further details.
