- JAMB announced that 2026 Mock UTME slips were available for printing online
- The mock examination was scheduled for March 28 ahead of the main UTME in April
- Candidates were advised to print slips early to confirm exam details
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who registered for the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now print their examination slips.
The announcement was made on Monday via the board’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, directing candidates to its website to access their slips.
According to JAMB, candidates are required to visit the official portal and select the option labelled “2026 Mock Slip Printing,” after which they are to input their registration numbers to generate and print their examination details.
The board emphasised the importance of printing the slips early, as they contain essential information such as examination dates, designated centres, and session times. Candidates are encouraged to verify these details in advance to avoid last-minute challenges.
The Mock UTME is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 28 March 2026. It is designed as a preparatory test to help candidates familiarise themselves with the computer-based testing format used in the main examination.
JAMB noted that participation in the mock exercise is optional and strictly limited to candidates who indicated interest and paid for the mock test during the registration process.
The main UTME, which determines admission into tertiary institutions across Nigeria, is slated to hold from 16 to 25 April 2026.
Education stakeholders have consistently highlighted the importance of the mock examination, noting that it provides candidates with valuable exposure to the testing environment, reduces anxiety, and improves overall performance in the main exam.
Candidates are therefore advised to take the exercise seriously, treat it as a simulation of the actual examination, and use the opportunity to identify areas for improvement.
JAMB reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent examination process, urging candidates to adhere strictly to all guidelines and instructions provided on their examination slips.
