- RCCG hosted its annual prayer walk in the Redemption camp
- Many youths and activists are not having it because of the ongoing nationwide protest
- They opined that Pastor Adeboye could have redirected the crowd to join the #Endbadgovernance protest
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is trending, and unfortunately, it is for the wrong reasons following its annual prayer walk.
Many netizens supposedly criticised its decision to organise its prayer walk with a crowd that could have joined the ongoing nationwide protest to lend their voices.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post on August 4, a user identified as Darey @kunmydrey shared his thoughts about the church’s annual prayer walk.
He wrote, “RCCG annual prayer walk 2024.After walking, go back home and open your mouth down to manna from heaven. Bunch of gullible and lazy christians. Disturbing God with their useless prayers while their Daddy GOs live large on tithes and gifts from APC. Brainwashed Morons. #TinubuMustGoNow.”
The post, which has garnered over 500,000 views and 900 comments sparked an online frenzy on X platform with many mixed reactions from Nigerians.
Meanwhile, the prayer walk is an annual event of the RCCG as part of the annual August Minister's Conference.
