Cabinet reshuffle: Here are all the ministers who have been deployed to other ministries

  • President Tinubu reassigned 10 cabinet ministers to different portfolios in a bid to improve government operations
  • Now the Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu previously served as Minister of State for Steel Development

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the reassignment of 10 cabinet members to different ministries amid the sacking of five ministers as part of efforts to improve government efficiency and streamline operations.

This was disclosed by the Presidency during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held on Wednesday, October 23 in Abuja.  

10 ministers redeployed to other ministries 

The following are the ministers who have been redeployed to other ministries

1. Yusuf Tanko Sununu

2. Morufu Olatunji Alausa

3. Bello Muhammad Goronyo 

4. Abubakar Eshiokpekha Momo

5. Uba Maigari Ahmadu

6. Doris Uzoka-Anite

7. John Owan Enoh

8. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim

9. Ayodele Olawande 

10. Iziaq Adekunle Salako

Newly reassigned ministers and ministry 

The newly reassigned ministers and their new portfolios are as follows:

1. Yusuf Tanko Sununu

Moved from Minister of State Education to Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.

2. Morufu Olatunji Alausa

Moved from Minister of State for Health to the Minister of Education.

3. Bello Muhammad Goronyo

Moved from Minister of State, for Water Resources and Sanitation to Minister of State for Works.

4. Abubakar Eshiokpekha Momoh

Moved from Minister of Niger Delta Development to Minister of Regional Development.

5. Uba Maigari Ahmadu

Now the Minister of State for Regional Development, after previously serving as Minister of State for Steel Development.

6. Doris Uzoka-Anite

Moved from Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment to Minister of State for Finance.

7. John Owan Enoh

Moved from Minister of Sports Development to Minister of State for Trade and Investment (Industry).

8. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim

Moved from Minister of State, Police Affairs to Minister of Women Affairs.

9. Ayodele Olawande

Moved from Minister of State for Youth Development to the Minister of Youth Development.

10. Iziaq Adekunle Salako

Moved from Minister of State, Environment to Minister of State for Health.
