- Pastor Adeboye said women who use makeup are implying that God's creation of them was flawed
- According to the Pastor, God did a remarkable job creating humans, and the use of makeup by women reflects disbelief in His perfection
- Adeboye further said when you begin to paint and you think you can improve on what God has already done, you are a fool
A prominent Nigerian pastor and the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared his opinion on women and the use of makeup during the RCCG ministers' conference at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State, on Saturday, August 10.
Pastor Adeboye said women who use makeup are implying that God's creation of them was not flawless.
Use of makeup by women reflects disbelief
The pastor said, “When you begin to paint, and you think you can improve on what God has already done, you are a fool. You can never improve on what God has done.”
According to Adeboye, God did a remarkable job creating humans, and he added that women's use of makeup reflects disbelief in the perfection of God’s creation.
Those who do make-up do not believe God did a good job
“People spend hundreds of thousands of naira on ‘shoot out’ (photo shoot). And then, on the day of the wedding, the girl put on all manner of decorations. Those who do make-up are those who do not believe God did a good job,” Adeboye stated.
He further said, “When you marry, you cut your coat according to your clothes. Some of you want to be like the people of the world. I can’t even imagine some of the things I see now. It wasn’t so in the beginning.”
