Adding to the milestones achieved by Everybody Loves Jenifa, Funke, on Monday, January 6, announced the historic feat of her film as the highest-grossing film of all time.
“Record breaker! Everybody Loves Jenifa has officially hit a historic 1.466 billion naira and is still counting at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of all time.
A massive thank you to our incredible audience in Nigeria and Ghana for making this dream a reality. Your support is everything. On to even greater heights!” she wrote.
Previous grossing records set by Funke
Meanwhile, Funke’s 2024 Everybody Loves Jenifa film record has impressively beaten the records of her previous films.
Funke’s films currently occupy the first four spots on the list of highest-grossing films at Nigerian cinema.
Her 2023 film, A Tribe Called Judah, occupies the second spot with a total of N1,404,187,806.
Her 2022 film, Battle on Buka Street sits on the third spot with a total earning of N668,423,056 while Omo Ghetto: The Saga takes fourth place with N636,129,120. This further proves her recording breaking ability as a filmmaker.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that renowned Nollywood actress and director Funke Akindele released the trailer for her most anticipated film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, which features a lineup of popular faces.
Everybody Loves Jenifa, set to hit the cinemas on December 13, and follows Funke’s previous box office film, A Tribe Called Judah, which was released around the same time.
