The highly publicised film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, by Nollywood actress and director Funke Amindele has officially hit over N1 billion at the Nigerian Box Office.
With N1,034,091,220, Everybody Loves Jenifa made another history at the box office as the fastest title to hit the N1 billion mark in 19 days.
This latest blockbuster record also comes shortly after the Nollywood film emerged as the highest-grossing title of 2024.
Via her official Instagram page, Funke Akindele, on Monday, December 30, shared the record-breaking news with her fans, extending her heartfelt gratitude for their support.
“God did! Thank you Jenifans for supporting Everybody Loves Jenifa! We couldn't have gotten here without you. We’re excited for what’s to come with this massive win. Keep watching in all cinemas nationwide,” Funke wrote.
The 47-year-old actress also shared that her latest film is the second N1 billion box office title in 12 months. Following its recent record, it holds the top 4 spot of the highest-grossing Nollywood films of all time.
Funke Amindele also emerged as the highest-grossing producer and director of all time after her film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, joined the N1 billion gang.
The Nollywood title Everybody Loves Jenifa follows the popular Jenifa franchise to deliver a feature that stars some of the biggest acts in the industry. It includes Patience Ozokwor, Jide Kosoko, Stan Nze, Nancy Isime, and Falz, amongst others.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that renowned Nollywood actress and director Funke Akindele released the trailer for her most anticipated film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, which featured a lineup of popular faces.
Everybody Loves Jenifa, set to hit the cinemas on December 13, and follows Funke’s previous box office film, A Tribe Called Judah, which was released around the same time.
