Renowned Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has once again solidified her position as a leading figure in the Nigerian film industry.
Funke, who has been on a record-breaking spree since the release of her publicised film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, recently achieved another milestone.
The 47-year-old actress leads the pack of Nollywood Highest highest-grossing Lead Actress list for her impressive performance at the 2024 Box Office rankings.
The thespian emerged top of the list with N1,125 billion made from her latest and highest-grossing Nollywood film, Everybody Loves Jenifa.
Via her official Instagram page, on Tuesday, January 28, Funke shared the news with her fans with excitement.
She also congratulated the cast members of Everybody Loves Jenifa who emerged in similar rankings at the Nigerian Box Office.

Meanwhile, from the Box Office ranking for highest grossing lead actress, popular names like Wunmi Toriola, Toyin Abraham, Tomike Adeoyi and Eniola Ajao made the top five, asides Funke Akindele.
Wunmi Toriola emerged as the second-highest-grossing lead actress in a Nollywood film for her performance in her produced 2024 film, Queen Lateefah. The movie made over N300 million at the Box Office.
Coming in third place, Nigerian actress Toyin Abraham was recognised for her films Alakada Bad and Boujee and American Japa (N266M).
For their impressive roles in Ajosepo and Beasts of Two Worlds (Ajakaju), Nollywood actresses Tomike Adeoyi and Eniola Ajao emerged in the fourth and fifth places respectively.
Other notable actresses on the list include Kehinde Bankole, Adunni Ade, Reginal Daniel, Uche Nwaefuna and Gbugbemi ejeye.
