The ongoing contractual dispute between Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as EeZee Tee, has taken a new turn as social critic Vincent Martins Otse, also known as Verydarkman, shared his thoughts on the drama.
Following the gospel singer's public address in an attempt to clear the air from misconceptions concerning her dispute with her former manager, VeryDarkMan claimed to have seen some flaws in the video which he termed manipulative.
In a video posted on Sunday, February 2, VDM confirmed that after watching Mercy Chinwo's public address, he came to the conclusion that she was telling lies and using emotional blackmail to gain sympathy.
"When I watched her video, a lot of people were sympathizing with her, but I went through her video, and all I saw was lies, deceit, emotional manipulation, emotional blackmail, pretence from her part," he said.
VDM, who claimed to have been in the church for 10 years and has an understanding of the gospel music industry, alleged that most gospel artistes, including Mercy Chinwo, are dishonest. "Most gospel artistes and the people that are generally into gospel and Christendom, especially when they are popular, they lie a lot, they pretend a lot, and they fake a lot," he stated.
VDM highlights 3 flaws in Mercy Chinwo's video
VeryDarkMan highlighted three flaws from Mercy Chinwo's video in a bid to justify his stance on the issue.
He pointed out several inconsistencies in Mercy Chinwo's video, including that it was cut and joined multiple times, indicating that she was not sincere.
"Watching the video, you would notice that there were lots of cuts and joins, meaning they recorded the video more than 15 to 20 times," he observed.
“If someone is expressing their emotions, they don't cut it. The cut and join was off and her words were not aligning,” he added.
VDM also questioned Mercy Chinwo's claim that EeZee Tee forged their contract document, alleging that it was a lie. He believed that a correction was made on the document, and both parties were present when it was done citing the protocol being observed in the banking industry.
He stated: “This does not look like a case of forgery, it looked like they were both there. This is off.”
Furthermore, VDM asked Mercy Chinwo to provide proof of her claim that EeZee Tee paid bloggers to report that her child Charis looks like gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey. He wondered why she waited until the drama between her and Eezee Tee became public before speaking out.
In addition, VDM questioned Mercy Chinwo's decision to mention Pastor Jerry Eze, the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), in her video. He believed that she was trying to gain sympathy from Eze's followers by claiming that Eezee Tee hated Eze.
