EeZee Tee fires back at Mercy Chinwo, denies allegations of bullying

The controversy in the gospel ministry seems unending as involved parties kept throwing hands making netizens confused about whom to believe. 

The feud between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss, Ezekiel Odinakachi, also known as EeZee Tee, has taken a new turn. The Eezeetee Conceptz’ boss has responded to Mercy's allegations, denying that he bullied her and revealing new details about their feud.

According to EeZee Tee in an open address, it was Mercy who took him to court in 2023, resulting in his bank account being frozen. He alleged that Mercy threatened to destroy him and his record label, contrary to her claims. He implored netizens to focus on facts and ignore emotions or sentiments to avoid being misled. 

He stated;

“I need to set this record straight, this is over two years and there have been lots of challenges and disputes behind the scenes. I have not seen any need to discredit any of my artiste and it is stupid to bite your product. 

“Only stupid people would sabotage and destroy their investment —what God has used them to build. Anytime I push forward my approach towards a peaceful resolution, it was communicated like weakness”

Presenting documents, he added; “here is a document of the petition written against me around March, my account were frozen and I couldn't trace where it came from until somehow I got confidential information that it was from two female gospel artistes without my knowledge because it had been planned to look like the law enforcing agency were investigating on their own.”

EeZee Tee also addressed the issue of royalties, stating that money was at the root of their dispute. He claimed that Mercy was an actress who loved to play around with her voice, making it easy for her to become emotional while sharing her story online.

“It beats my imagination how one would deny a document, deny her signature on the documents, and also deny the living witnesses to the execution of the document. This person is a fantastic actress and she has a lot of strength portraying a victim to the rest of the world.”

The record label boss denied allegations that he disliked Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and Pastor Jerry Eze, stating that Mercy should follow due process if she wanted to collaborate with them.

He added:

“Why won't I want you to have a collaboration? But then, shouldn't you have collaborated following due process? I don't have any issues with whoever you want to collaborate with, it is business.”

Addressing the issue of bullying, he stated it would be hard to bully a bully herself, and everyone who's worked with her knows this. 

He also accused Mercy of insincerity, claiming that she used to attend shows without his knowledge. 

EeZee Tee also revealed that the feud with Mercy led to his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he was locked up for nine days. He alleged that Mercy was on a mission to assassinate his character.

“This is an attempt to assassinate someone's character. If you say you are a real child of God and I am the one I am the one that is the problem and I have financial fraud like you have called it. Can you tell the public that you are willing to subject your account to an independent audit”

The drama between EeZee Tee and Mercy Chinwo has been ongoing, with both parties trading allegations. Despite interventions from pastors, including Pastor Mercy Ezekiel and Bishop Mike Okonkwo, a peaceful resolution has yet to be achieved. 

In his address, his caption read; “Even in the face of injustice, I chose silence. When you involved the EFCC to detain me, I remained silent. When I sought resolution through the Multidoor Court, I remained silent, Even when I filed a lawsuit to protect my human rights and prevent further harassment, I still chose silence,

“But then, you maliciously manipulated the system, obtained a bench warrant against me, and published it globally. This is not just about me- it's about transparency, fairness, and standing up against unjust actions. Sometimes, silence is mistaken for weakness, but let me assure you, truth always prevails, Facts are stubborn,”

Eezee Tee addresses Mercy Chinwo's contract dispute, alleges coercion, EFCC misconduct

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Ezekiel Odinakachi, popularly known as Eezee Tee, spoke about allegations of taking Mercy Chinwo's money, claiming she breached their contract.

He alleged he was detained and coerced into making false admissions by the EFCC which in turn has withdrawn its arrest warrant against Eezee Tee, and the court has scheduled a possible arraignment for February 14.
