Renowned Nigerian comedian and actor Ayodeji Makun, also known as AY Makun, has shared the trailer for his anticipated action-packed comedy film, The Waiter. 

The 53-year-old actor turned director known for his famous Merry Men films, teased his upcoming film The Waiter set to hit cinemas across Nigeria on December 20. 

Via his official Instagram page, on Wednesday, November 27, Ay Makun, shared the teaser of The Waiter to gear anticipation of movie enthusiasts. 


The Waiter Teaser. The moment you've been waiting for is here! The teaser trailer for The Waiter is now live. Get ready for a gripping journey through the heart of Nigeria as #thewaitermovie unveils the untold stories of resilience and survival in today’s economic landscape. 

The Waiter Movie will be in cinemas across Nigeria, Ghana and Liberia from December 20th, 2024. Tag your squad and mark your calendars for this much watch blockbuster” he captioned the video. 

The action comedy film will be distributed by Silverbird Film Distribution and Genesis Pictures Nigeria across cinemas. 

It features appearances from Nollywood veteran and emerging acts including Richard Mofe Damijo. Shaffy Bello, Regina Daniels, Toke Makinwa, Bucci Franklin and Deyemi Okanlawon. 

Kunle Afolayan releases official trailer for anticipated film, ‘Recall’ [Video] 

TheRadar had earlier reported that popular Nollywood director Kunle Afolayan released the official trailer for his anticipated film Recall as a build-up to the film's release. 

The trailer was released in anticipation of its selection to premiere at the 2024 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) on November 7. 

The psychological thriller film, whose official poster was shared earlier, delved into the mysterious twists in a couple’s love story.
