Following the release of his first cinema movie, Reel Love, Nollywood actor turned producer Timini Egbuson has achieved notable box office milestones.
The anticipated film chronicles how a social media influencer, Tomide, pretends to love an entrepreneur to boost his social media status but finally falls in love with her.
Via his official Instagram page on Monday, February 17, Timini shared the news of his film’s box office milestones with his fans.

He commended fans and colleagues for their support, which he attributed as the reason for his milestones.
The Nollywood actor also extended his gratitude to those who have believed in his dreams and made it a reality.

- Nollywood Strongest Opening title in 2025
Barely a week after its release, Timini’s Reel Love has emerged as Nollywood strongest opening title in 2025. In just three days, the film has soared to over N99.2 million at Box Office, setting a new record.
- Number one Nollywood film of the weekend
Reel Love also emerged as the number one Nollywood film of the weekend. It overtook titles like Everybody Loves Jenifa, Summer Rain and Something About the Briggs.
- Highest opening weekend of all time for a first-time producer
As a first-time producer Timini Egbuson garnered the highest opening weekend of all time. His Reel Love’s N99.2 million gross closely follows the Hollywood title Captain America, which sold N127.7 million at Box Office.
- The fourth-grossing Nollywood opening weekend of all time
Reel Love also achieved the milestone of being the fourth-grossing Nollywood opening weekend of all time. On the ranking of the top six films of the weekend from February 14 to 16, 2025, Captain America grossed at ₦135.8M followed by Reel Love: ₦99.3M and Summer Rain: ₦16.3M/₦41.4M.
Others include Everybody Loves Jenifa: N13.2M/₦1.866B, Something About the Brigs: ₦12.5M/₦68.9M and Chhava: ₦10.5M respectively.
