The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South West region, has conferred the title of Distinguished Father of Faith on Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The announcement was made via a post on the RCCG Open Heaven Daily Devotional Videos Facebook page on Monday, capturing the historic moment in a series of photographs. 

The recognition ceremony took place in Pastor Adeboye’s office, where the South West CAN Chairman, Bishop Tunde Akinsanya, led the proceedings.

The Facebook post, accompanied by the images, celebrated the occasion with the following words: “TODAY, HISTORY IS MADE! The Christian Association of Nigeria, South West decorated the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, as the distinguished Father of Faith today in his office by Bishop Tunde Akinsanya (South West CAN Chairman). To God be all the Glory. More wins, daddy.”

The award is a testament to Pastor Adeboye’s unwavering commitment to the Christian faith and his profound impact on spiritual life in Nigeria and beyond.

This recognition comes at a time when the RCCG leader has been vocal in urging people to embrace faith and love, especially in the face of societal challenges.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Pastor Adeboye addressed women who use makeup, claiming that they are implying that God's creation of them was flawed. 

According to the Pastor, God did a remarkable job creating humans, and the use of makeup by women reflects disbelief in His perfection. Adeboye further said when you begin to paint, and you think you can improve on what God has already done, you are a fool
