This was disclosed in a statement released by spokesperson Moses Olafare on Monday, September 23.
“This is a challenging period,” the Ooni remarked, adding, “I believe that after this festival, normalcy will return.”

He described this time as critical for intercession, focusing on the well-being of the Yoruba race and the nation as a whole.
His upcoming seclusion precedes the annual Olojo festival, where he will make solemn prayers and offerings. He is scheduled to publicly appear during the festival on Saturday, September 28, adorned in the sacred Crown of Oduduwa.
As the nation grapples with the economic difficulties, the Ooni of Ife called for patience from Nigerians.
