The Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his fourth wife, Olori Ashley Folashade, have announced the birth of their son.
The king announced this good news on his Instagram account @ooniadimulaife on Tuesday, September 3.
He posted a picture of himself with the new mother, Olori Ashley Folashade and captioned it: “To God be the glory great things he has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa.
“Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty and in line with the spirits of our ancestors.”
The Queen also posted on her Instagram account @hrhqueenashleyafolasade expressing her gratitude to God for the blessing of her newborn whom she called “the crown prince from both sides of his parents.” She also mentioned that she lost a pregnancy of twins at 14 weeks last year.
She posted: “To God be the glory great things he has done for my husband and I. I am happy to re announce with my husband @ooniadimulaife the birth of our adorable prestigious royal son to the throne of our forebears, our CROWN PRINCE of the source of Oodua.
“Who we were blessed with and was born into this world today the 3rd of September 2024 at Princess Royal Hospital London United Kingdom. Even though the enemies tried in our relationship for about a decade, but Olodumare has remained faithful in our lives.
“Last year was a little dark as our set of twins gained their wings at 14 weeks, but Olodumare remained faithful, he said What you need is a son to carry your forbears linage, a double CROWN PRINCE, now he has blessed us with our gorgeous son, who is not just only a prince of the source, but our CROWN PRINCE from both sides of his parents.

This is coming six months after the monarch welcomed twins with his third wife, Olori Tobiloba.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Big Brother Naija housemate, Tjay, and his wife welcomed twin boys into his family yesterday, Sunday, August 18, while still on the ongoing Big Brother Naija show.
His handler posted on his Instagram page, @tjay__official saying: “Two little miracles instead of one! We are overjoyed to share the news of the safe arrival of a beautiful set of twin boys into Tjay's family.”
