Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has declared his intention in the 2027 presidential election during the launch of the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) campaign for the August 17 local government election in Bauchi State on Wednesday, August 7.
The PDP Governor said Tinubu’s policies are not working and if it continues, he will invite the President to serve as the campaign director for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027.

About the 2027 presidential election, Governor Bala Mohammed said, “On your behalf, I am telling Mr President Tinubu to change his policies because it is not working,”
“If it continues like this in 2027, I will invite him to be our campaign director because everywhere will be PDP. And we are going to win because it will be a self-inflicted injury.”

Bala Mohammed condemned President Bola Tinubu's economic policies, emphasising that they have worsened the hardships faced by citizens, resulting in heightened, hunger, and frustration.
He pointed out that the consequences of Tinubu's actions are widespread, touching every corner of the nation and influencing every political party, adding that it is the key factor fueling the #EndBadGovernance protests.
He urged the President to adjust the policies
He called on President Tinubu to recognize this issue and make the needed adjustments, stating that it's their problem arising from their programs, so they need to change their approach.
The Governor, however, commended the people of Bauchi for their peaceful protest and urged them to stop their demonstrations, assuring them that their voices have been heard.
