Darasimi, the estranged wife of comedian and skit maker Kehinde Ganiyu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has spoken out about her marriage, infidelity allegations, separation, betrayal by a friend, and the "Truth or Dare" controversy.
In a recent interview with Talk to B, hosted by Nigerian actress Biola Adebayo on Friday, March 14, Darasimi opened up about how she met Ijoba Lande.
She explained that they crossed paths at an event while she was in another relationship, which later ended due to her friend Marygold's interference. She emphasised that her decision to be with Ijoba Lande was not financially motivated, as he was not financially stable at the time.
“When I met Lande, I didn’t date him because of the money he has, because Lande was not financially buoyant. People do not want us to date. Even then, I had someone I was dating, but my friend convinced me to date Lande after he showed interest in me at a party we first met.” Darasimi said.
Opening up about the experience she had in her marriage, she stated,
“I was the one who handled my introduction, Lande had no money. He is into aviator betting, and it has caused him millions, to the extent that he sold his car and still used it to make a bet. “He was always on his phone and had no attention for me, not knowing that he had always glued himself to those online betting websites. Lande has anger issues, there are times he would beat me, it hurts me that my marriage ended.
“Before I left his place, we had once planned to do a content that saw me leaving his house. Even the money for my introduction, I paid it myself. I did not take anything out of his house when I left; my clothes and other items are still in his house,”
Darasimi denied cheating on her husband, refuting claims that she was involved with 21 men in the movie industry. She challenged Lande to provide evidence of his accusations and urged anyone with proof to come forward.
Addressing rumours of drug use, she admitted to smoking but stated that Lande was aware and participated as well.
Marygold's betrayal
Darasimi shared a shocking revelation about Marygold's betrayal, which led to the end of her previous relationship. According to the actress, Marygold's actions caused her ex-boyfriend to lose interest in her.
The actress explained that her ex-boyfriend had suddenly lost interest in her without giving her closure. However, a year later, he reached out to her and warned her about keeping friends like Marygold.
The actress revealed that her ex-boyfriend had confided in her about Marygold's envy towards her, citing an incident where he had gifted the actress money for her movie production project and asked her to keep it a secret.
However, she had shared the information with Mary Gold, who exposed her, causing tension in their relationship.
The actress expressed her shock and disappointment at Marygold's betrayal, stating that she was her closest friend at the time.
She also shared how Marygold defaulted their agreement with a joint contribution, which sparked tension in her marriage, stating,
“Our problem started when he began to back Marygold for defaulting on a monthly contribution of N100,000 for N1 million. I would challenge Marygold to pay up but Lande would side with her that I should leave her because she’s broke. I wasn’t taking it lightly because when it was her turn, she collected the money as the N100,000 contribution was coming from the contributors.”
Darasimi addresses the “Truth or Dare” game with Baba Tee
Darasimi shed more light on the events leading up to the infamous "Truth or Dare" game at actor Baba Tee's residence. According to her, Marygold initiated the game for reasons unknown to her.
She admitted to being intoxicated during the game and claimed she doesn't recall the details of what transpired during the sexual dare.
However, she remembered sitting on Baba Tee's legs and regretting her participation in the game and being at the scene.
Darasimi concluded her interview by stating that she shared her story to achieve closure, rather than to spark controversy or drag Lande's name through the mud.
In a heartfelt gesture, Darasimi has apologised to Ijoba Lande for hurting him, acknowledging the pain she caused. She also extended her apology to everyone she disappointed, taking full responsibility for her actions.
Darasimi expressed remorse and regret for her mistakes, assuring that she has learned from the experience. She vowed to be more mindful and cautious in the future, ensuring that she avoids similar situations that could lead to hurt and disappointment.

Baba Tee confesses to intimate encounter with Lande’s wife, Darasimi denies infidelity
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Nigerian actor and comedian Baba Tee admitted to a brief intimate encounter with Darasimi, the wife of comedian Lande.
He apologised for his actions, blaming them on intoxication during a game of "Truth or Dare" and claiming he was set up by Marygold and Darasimi.
His confession follows Lande's allegations of infidelity against his wife, in which he named Baba Tee as one of the 21 men involved with her.
