Nigerian actor and comedian Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has made a shocking revelation, admitting to an intimate encounter with Darasimi, the wife of comedian Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Lande.
His confession came as a surprise to many, especially after his initial denial of any involvement with his colleague's wife.
In a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, March 9, Baba Tee confessed to the infidelity, contradicting his previous stance.
He explained that the encounter happened while playing a game of "Truth or Dare" with Darasimi and actress Marygold, who had introduced Dara as a content creator without disclosing that she was Lande's wife.
"When Marygold and Dara came to my house... She (Marygold) claimed that she wanted me to be an MC for an upcoming programme of hers despite not telling me that she was coming with anyone," Baba Tee explained.
Blaming his actions on intoxication, Baba Tee alleged that he was set up by Marygold and Darasimi in an attempt to tarnish his reputation. He publicly apologised to Lande, saying:
"I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande."
This comes after Lande accused his wife of infidelity, naming Baba Tee as one of the 21 men involved with her. Baba Tee had initially denied the allegations, threatening to take legal action against Lande for defamation.
Lande's wife denies sleeping with Baba Tee
Before Baba Tee's admission, Darasimi had already spoken out, denying the allegations of infidelity involving the actor.
In a recent statement, she clarified the circumstances surrounding her interaction with Baba Tee, emphasising that their encounter was purely platonic.
According to Darasimi, the controversy started when she visited Baba Tee's house and joined a game of "Truth or Dare" suggested by actress Marygold. She admitted to drinking several shots of alcohol, which led to a dare from Marygold.
She explained that Marygold dared Baba Tee to engage in an intimate act with her, prompting him to fetch a condom. However, Darasimi maintained that nothing happened, stating:
"When he came back, I told him I wouldn’t allow a certain position, but I agreed to sit on his lap."
When Esabod pressed her about the claim that she engaged in sexual activity with Baba Tee, Darasimi countered:
”All I did was sit on his lap to make it look like I was truly having sex with him, in order not to pay for the fine. Maybe Baba Tee doesn't know what a quicky is.”
She also insisted that she had introduced herself as Lande’s wife before the game and denied that her breakup with him was due to infidelity.
While Baba Tee has admitted to an intimate moment, Darasimi continues to deny any wrongdoing, adding another layer of controversy to the unfolding drama.
