- Prominent rapper and singer Falz recently revealed why he has never fallen in love
- During an interview, Falz opened up that he has never reached the point of expressing love in a relationship
- To him, there has to be a level of preparedness before all that emotional commitment would take place
Popular Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has recently opened up about his love life and why he has never been in love with anybody.
The rapper explained that he has never reached the point in a relationship where such expressions as ‘I Love You’ are made to anyone.
Speaking in a recent interview of the Menisms Podcast, Falz shared more insight into why he has not been in love and his perceptions about finding the right one if at all the concept exists.
“I’ve never really said I love you to anybody. I've never been in love. I've not gotten to that level of emotional commitment. When people say oh, I met the right one. I found the right one for me. I feel like there’s no such concept as the ‘One.’ Okay, let me not say there is no such concept.
The concept is defined by your preparedness to feel that and then, meeting someone that ticks all your boxes. To be honest with you, it is a very small crop of people that I can even say I'm friends with within the industry but I'm okay with that.
I don't think it is necessarily about how many people or whatever. It is just the quality of people. I think I've grown past the level of forcing relationships or overextending just because…” Falz explained.
He also mentioned Asake as someone he has never worked with and would love to collaborate with him on a project.
Meanwhile, Falz made a similar confession in July when he revealed that he had been single since 2008, when he was 18 years old. According to him, aside from its ups and downs, he has never felt ready for a relationship.
