Following the release of the first part of his biopic film Lisabi: The Uprising, Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji is set to realise a second part, Lisabi: A Legend is Born.
Lisabi: The Uprising, which was released on September 27, explores the escapades of a historic Egba warrior.
The biopic film, with over 2000 cast members, was revealed by the actor to be a means of cultural preservation and history, particularly to the Egba people of Abeokuta.
Coming with a second part of the film, Adedimeji via his official Instagram page, on Friday, December 20 shared the trailer for Lisabi: A Legend is Born.
“Witness the rise of Lisabi: A Legend is Born. Coming to Netflix on January 10. We present the official trailer of our new movie. Lisabi! A biopic of the ultimate Egba Warrior farmer,” he wrote.
First look photos of ‘Lisabi: A Legend is Born’
Prior to the release of the trailer, Nollywood actor Adedimeji, on Thursday, December 19, shared the first-look pictures of Lisabi: A Legend is Born.
The cinematic photos captured new faces featured in the upcoming biopic film. It also showed action scenes that gave hints into what the film hopes to deliver.
Some of the new faces spotted in the pictures is popular actor Deyemi Okanlawon, who seems to have the character of a powerful warlord.
