Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, recently tied the knot with her US-based fiancée, Adeniyi Olabiyi, in a private traditional ceremony at the weekend.
The couple, who announced their engagement in March 2024, shared their joy with a series of breath-taking pre-wedding photos and videos that reflected their love and cultural heritage.
Biodun Okeowo expressed her gratitude and love for her partner in an Instagram post, where she also included her daughter Ifeoluwa in the joyous celebration.
She posted: “We are taking this moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has taken the time to comment, pray, post, and send us gifts. Your love and support mean the world to us. We will be sharing a more detailed appreciation post soon to thank each individual who contributed to the success of our wedding…”
Videos from the traditional wedding ceremony, which had a ‘no video, no photo’ policy, were shared on social media by the actress, showcasing some highlights of the wedding, including the reading of the engagement letter by the actress’ daughter, Ifeoluwa Okeowo, the culturally significant part of the wedding where the groom gifts his bride with cash, and the couple’s dance.
Biodun Okeowo also shared that her husband is not only her lover but also her best friend and soulmate. She posted:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I officially present to you Mr. and Mrs. Olabiyi. I married not just my partner, but my best friend, prayer partner and soulmate. Every step we’ve taken has led us to this moment, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life loving you.”
