Nigerian celebrities have shared their opinion on the unfolding controversy following the divorce announcement of Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba and Annie Idibia. 

Some celebrities, including Toke Makinwa, Biodun Okeowo, Ifedayo Agoro, and Ossai Ovie, took offence to Idibia’s decision regarding the timing of his press release.

On Idibia’s post, Toke Makinwa commented: This is wrong on all levels and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this here. Bring it on, if you think she's alone let me tell you here that you'll have to fight all of us."

She further posted on her story stating, "I'm not one for too much talk but what is wrong is wrong and as a woman, if you sit on the fence on this one, if it misses you, it'll touch your daughter or any female in your family. No one is innocent, and if you want to bring the media into it, knowing what is happening, we would fight for her."

Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo lamented, “WHY??? You let them win, Oh No, this breaks my heart! God.” 

Delta Governor’s media aide Ossai Ovie Success criticised 2Baba for the timing of his divorce announcement, calling it insensitive given Annie Idibia’s recent struggles, including a heartbreaking miscarriage. 

He stated, "It is the wrong timing for 2face to announce his marriage breakup. Just last year, Annie suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage while expecting twins. 

“The past few weeks have been hell for Annie Idibia considering the heated backlash she faced online. If 2face was serious about announcing their separation, he should have waited for a more opportune time. 

“This poorly timed announcement is not only insensitive but also disappointing, especially given Annie's recent struggle."

Ifedayo Agoro, also known as diaryofanaijagirl, shared her thoughts stating, "First they groom you, then you lose yourself and then they dump you. I am sooo angry! I never involve myself with things like this but this is a disgusting behaviour by this man. 

“In the time when this woman is being bashed, you had to say this? Knowing you constantly humiliated her publicly since I was 18 years old? Why now? Why heap more fire on her reputation? Never ever ever choose a man over yourself. No one is INDISPENSABLE! Gosh!"
