The Wageningen University Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) for 2025 provides an excellent opportunity for talented African students to pursue a fully funded Master’s degree in the Netherlands. 

This programme, hosted by Wageningen University & Research (WUR), is tailored to students passionate about addressing Africa's key challenges in agriculture, environmental sustainability, and health. 

The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) allows highly talented African students to pursue a Master’s degree at Wageningen University, aiming to strengthen capacity building in Africa.

The ASP scholarship aims to build African capacity by equipping young leaders with advanced skills and a global network.

Eligibility requirements for ASP at Wageningen University 

Applicants must meet several criteria to be considered for the ASP:

1. African citizenship: Only students from African countries are eligible.

2. Bachelor’s degree: Candidates should hold a relevant degree, such as in agriculture, environmental sciences, or health sciences, with a GPA of 80% or higher.

3. Admission to WUR: Applicants must first gain admission to a WUR Master’s programme to be eligible for the scholarship.

4. No previous Master’s degree: ASP is open to those pursuing their first Master’s, demonstrating exceptional academic records and motivation to contribute to Africa’s development.

Application process  

Step 1: Apply for an MSc programme by submitting an application request in Studielink before February 1, 2025. 

Step 2: Candidates selected (around 40) will be invited to participate in the scholarship selection process.

Step 3: Submit an assignment by 25 March 2025.

Step 4: Selected candidates (around 20) will be invited for MS Teams interviews from 22 April to 1 May 2025.

Step 5: Final selection results communicated by 8 May 2025.

• March 13, 2025: Selected candidates invited to the selection process. 
• March 25, 2025: Assignment submission deadline. 
• April 8, 2025: Interview invitations sent.
