Nigerians have reacted to the recent statements made by human rights lawyer Femi Falana Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), which linked him to popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, and his son, Falz.
Falana reveals threats over Bobrisky, VeryDarkMan case
The controversy was ignited by a viral video from social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, in which he claimed that Falana sought a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in exchange for N10 million.
In response to the unfolding situation, Falana reported receiving threats, including the burning of his office and potential harm to his daughter, should he proceed with legal action against VeryDarkMan.
This was disclosed during an interview with Sahara Reporters on Monday, October 7. Falana said some “mentally deranged persons have threatened to burn his office and kill his daughter if he sued VeryDarkMan.”
Consequently, reactions from the public have been mixed. While some observers believe Falana's comments are part of a media strategy against VeryDarkMan, others have condemned the threats made against him.

“Nigerians are soo daft no wonder we are the 32nd smartest country in Africa with an average IQ of 66.76. How do you threaten people not to seek justice🤦♂️,” One gun general stated.
“Do you know what it means for someone to say 'the most disturbing of all this is a threat to his daughter' ? He does not worries over his own life but his beloved daughter. You better watch what you say or your page is reported and tagged to criminality. Go get sense ASAP!” Sen. Olawale Joe reacted.
“You really don't understand anything. We have seen how u fools make mouth until the law grabs your neck. Mscheew 🙄,” Hind Rajab added.
“These guys have not smelled the coffee at all.....You can't intimidate anyone again in this country. VDM is the voice of the Nigerian people, and any attempt to silence him is an attempt to silence Nigerians,” Orijan’oogun stated.
“He is not my voice, maybe yours... He may be doing somethings right, but if he makes claims and innuendos as he did in this matter, he should answer and defend it in court. You can't say you're fighting corruption and be defaming people, that alone is also corruption,” Shegmath reacted.
“People are trying to resolve the case underground and some miscreant wey no get home training are going to threaten the family. Shey these people no get sense ni? Una go do the one wey go push VDM inside one dark hole now,” AIM commented.
“If u believe what he just said, i have a police station to sell to you,” endyy09.eth mentioned.
“This is the wrong approach senior SAN...The is media propaganda against VDM, if you have genuine reason and evidence for defamation, sue him not this approach sir,” Terver Mfeseer stated.
“Is uncle scared?” Segun_loves_ton asked.
