Public reactions have emerged following a statement from US President Joseph Biden, in which he expressed condolences for the recent flooding that affected northeastern Nigeria. 

The statement also highlighted his appreciation for President Bola Tinubu’s leadership in securing the humanitarian release of American citizen and former US law enforcement official, Tigran Gambaryan.

The statement was shared on the official X account of the US President on Tuesday, October 29. In his message, President Biden said:

“Earlier, I spoke with President Tinubu of Nigeria to express my condolences on the floods impacting his country and my appreciation for his leadership in securing the humanitarian release of Tigran Gambaryan. We also spoke about the value of our partnership.”

Public react to Biden’s statement

“You aren't a reliable character. No wonder you support illegitimacy in Nigeria. You Dems are terrible people!!!” Olaudah Equiano stated. 

“What about the floods that impacted OUR country? Remember those? The people of Western NC and East Tennessee who you left to drown and pick up the pieces themselves... Worthless,” Shawn Farash reacted. 

“Nobody cares. You destroyed enough and then enriched yourself. Go away,” WeenyWaney added.

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Counsel to EFCC asked Justice Emeka Nwite to discharge Gambaryan because he was not a senior executive at Binance and, as such, could not be held liable for the. 

According to the report, if the government knew it would release him, why detain him in a decrepit prison for several months?
