The All Progressives Congress has extended the deadlines for the purchase and submission of nomination forms for its forthcoming zonal congresses and national convention, giving aspirants additional time to complete the process.
In a statement on Tuesday, February 24, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the purchase and submission of forms will now hold from March 12 to March 23, 2026.
According to the updated timetable, the party has completed ward, local government, and state congresses across most parts of the country, while the national convention is slated for March 27–28, 2026.
Morka clarified that this extension did not alter the previously set dates for the zonal congress and the national convention.
The statement read, “The All Progressives Congress wishes to inform all members, stakeholders, and the general public that the party has approved an extension of the dates for the purchase and submission of forms for the upcoming Zonal Congress and National Convention.
“Accordingly, purchase and submission of forms will now hold from March 12, 2026, to March 23, 2026.
“The party wishes to clarify that this adjustment does not affect the previously scheduled dates for the conduct of the Zonal Congress and the National Convention.
“The zonal congress will be held on March 25, 2026, while the national convention will take place from March 26 to March 27, 2026, as earlier announced.
“Further, the party hereby announces a change in venue for the South-South zonal congress, now scheduled to be held in Asaba, Delta State.
“Official notice of these changes in the schedule of activities has been duly given to the Independent National Electoral Commission as required by law.”
The extension is expected to provide aspirants with ample time to finalise their applications and preparations ahead of the party’s internal elections and convention.
