Tragedy has struck the Mokola community in Ibadan after Dripping Louis, a rising artiste, was allegedly stabbed to death by his uncle, Bashiru.

The fatal altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a bottle of Maltina worth N600. Nigerians are now calling for justice in response to the artiste’s death. 

According to eyewitness accounts, the altercation occurred at the family residence, where a heated argument quickly escalated into violence. Bashiru allegedly attacked the young musician, inflicting fatal wounds. 

The incident has sparked widespread shock and outrage, with neighbors and fans mourning the untimely loss. Many have taken to social media to express their grief and condemn the senseless act. 

Instablog reported that residents in the area apprehended Bashiru, who was subsequently beaten by an angry mob before he was eventually restrained. 

While some speculate that Bashiru may have been under the influence of alcohol, his actions have been widely condemned as unjustifiable.

Angry mob sets man ablaze for allegedly beheading woman in Delta

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that a man in Delta State was burnt to death by a mob after allegedly beheading a woman. 

The incident marked the third case of ritual killings in Delta State in under two months. 

The police urged for solutions to the rising trend of ritual killings linked to the "get-rich-quick" mentality.
