A man was reportedly burnt to death by an enraged mob for allegedly beheading a woman in the Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to witnesses, Oghenero, a 37-year-old man, was caught after allegedly murdering Oshomirara on her farm. He was spotted returning from the bush carrying a blood-dripping polythene bag with the woman's decapitated body.

The incident, confirmed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, occurred on Monday, January 29.

“Three days ago, a young man went into a bush in Isoko South Local Government Area, killed a woman, beheaded her and carried the head to his house. The community found out, went to his house, saw the woman’s head, and in anger, they burnt him to death,” Edafe stated.

Edafe explained that the man had murdered the woman in a bush, decapitated her, and taken the severed head to his residence.
