Popular Afrobeats artiste Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has stirred up controversy online with his response to Speed Darlington's disappearance.
Speed Darlington’s disappearance comes on the heels of a video he made questioning the authenticity of Burna Boy’s Grammy award and insinuating that it was because of his relationship with American singer Diddy Combs.
Via his official X (formerly Twitter) page, on Tuesday, October 8, Burna Boy asked about who was missing amid the controversies allegedly linking Speed Darlington’s disappearance to him (Burna Boy).
“Who is missing?” Burna Boy tweeted.
Burna Boy's question was preceded by a cryptic message, “7 is real,” which fueled speculations among netizens suggesting he knows about Speed Darlington’s disappearance.
However, as at the time of this report, the circumstances surrounding Speed Darlington’s disappearance remain unclear. There is also no official alarm raised by appropriate authorities about the situation.
Speed Darlington reportedly missing for three days
A supposed fan had earlier raised the alarm about Speed Darlington’s disappearance, which stirred up the controversy.
According to the fan identified as Constancecee, the singer had been missing for three days with no social media posts as he used to.
Via an Instagram post, on Monday, October 7, she noted that there is no confirmed reason for his sudden disappearance but could possibly be as a result of a video he made earlier.
“Good evening, everyone. Urgent Notice. It has come to our notice that our man Speed Darlington has been missing for three days now. The last post on his page was made 3 days ago, which is unlike him and up till now, we have all tried to reach him but to no avail.
There is no confirmed reason for his disappearance but could possibly be as a result of a video he must have made before now. Please, this is important. If there is any information anybody has concerning this, please reach out to me or do not hesitate to put it out, please. We would as well keep everyone posted if we get something. Thank you very much.” Constancecee wrote.

Earlier, TheRadar reported that Nigerian Afrobeats singer Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy was called out by fans for not lending his voice to the ongoing #EndBadGovernanace protest in the country.
