- Nigerian singer Davido recently made comments about the Nigerian economy
- The controversial comments have left criticisms flooding social media, particularly from celebrities
- Veteran actor Patrick Doyle also criticised Davido for his comments
Afrobeats singer Davido Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has been at the forefront of criticism since his statement about the state of Nigeria’s economy surfaced online.
The latest celebrity to criticise the 32-year-old singer is a veteran Nollywood actor, who knocked Davido for discouraging potential foreign investors with his statements.
Via an X (formerly Twitter) post on November 26, Doyle joined the buzz to share his opinion on Davido’s controversial comments.
“You must be incredibly dense to ask foreigners not to visit a country where your father has a $2 billion power generation investment. Some people ought to know better,” Doyle wrote.
However, netizens have reacted to Patrick Doyle’s criticism with many wondering why it took Davido's controversial comments for the actor to speak on national issues and that the singer only communicated their reality.
