Wizkid finally releases anticipated ‘Morayo’ album

The long-awaited moment has arrived for fans of Afrobeats. The renowned singer Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has officially released his highly anticipated sixth studio album, Morayo.

This album, named after his late mother, promises to showcase his incredible talent and musical evolution, captivating listeners with its unique sound and infectious rhythms.

Prior to the release of Wizkid's Morayo, two singles Kese (Dance) and Piece of My Heart featuring American singer Brent Faiyaz went on a streaming spree. Both singles recorded the biggest opening-day streams on both Apple Music and Spotify. 

Popular Trinidadian rapper and singer Nicki Minaj, tapped on Nigerian singer Davido alongside David Guetta to release If It’s Okay—an anticipated collaboration. 

Similarly, American R&B singer Eric Bellinger collaborated with Nigeria’s sensational artiste Burna Boy on the For The Night track. Other music projects to enjoy this weekend feature Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Fido, and Nasty C.

Also known as Global Release Day, New Music Friday, as monitored by TheRadar earlier on July 26, captured Yemi Alade with her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Rebel Queen

After the release of his ‘Cultural Praise’ album in 2021, Kcee returns with ‘Mr Versatile,’ his latest and 5th studio album. Sinzu’s ‘Dear Afrobeats’ album appears to be a love letter to the Afrobeats genre. 

Other music projects include BOJ’s 12 Summers album, Llona’s ‘Homeless', and Khaid's latest EP ‘444,’ amongst other bodies of art.
