Juliana Olayode calls out social media users over disrespectful comments on married couples’ post
  • Nigerian actress Juliana Olayode called out social media users for leaving inappropriate comments on posts featuring married couples, specifically asking if a married woman's husband is single
  • Olayode stressed that while she might tolerate such comments under single men's posts, it's unacceptable when directed at married individuals, emphasising that it is wrong
  • The actress urged women to respect married couples and refrain from making inappropriate comments, warning that such behaviour is not only disrespectful but also diabolic

Nigerian actress Juliana Olayode has taken to social media to express outrage over a growing trend where people leave inappropriate comments on posts featuring married couples.

The actress, who is known for her role as ‘Toyo Baby’ in Jenifa's Diary, criticised users who ask if a married woman's husband is single, often accompanied by joking or flirtatious remarks.

Olayode took to her Instagram page on Monday, February 24, and questioned the motivations behind such comments, asking, "Tell me why people would go on someone's wife's page and ask if her husband is single. Are we serious or is this a joke?"

She further emphasised, "Why would we see a video of a husband and wife and comment under the video 'Is your husband married?' Are you people okay? Why would you comment on something like that?"

The actress stressed that while she might tolerate such comments under single men's posts, it's unacceptable when directed at married individuals. “This thing is not funny at all. If I see the comment on the page of someone who is single, I'd say you're trying to shoot your shot. But when it's a married person, it's just wrong.”

In her post caption, Olayode wrote,

"I don’t know if the people that write these comments think it’s funny, (cruise) but it’s totally stupid! You already even answered the question, y’all better abort this trend cause it doesn’t make sense!
“Also, if it’s not witchcraft, why would you say you have your eyes on someone who is married with kids? It’s very diabolic. Dear women/ladies, we need to do better cause it doesn’t make sense!!!! Leave people’s husbands ALONE!!!!!"

Juliana Olayode responds to netizen who admired Nathaniel Bassey

Olayode also recalled an incident where a woman expressed admiration for Pastor Nathaniel Bassey during the Hallelujah Challenge program.

She expressed her disappointment with women who openly expressed their desire for men, especially for the gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey, who is married with two kids.

In her video, she posted a particular screenshot that got her attention where a TikTok user Angelcuppy said: “You all are making choices but Nathaniel Bassey dey enter my eyes. Heavenly father, have mercy on your daughter.”

Olayode concluded in her address: “When people are praying on Hallelujah Challenge, what do you people do? It is not funny anymore. You need to stop it because you wouldn't want the same when you are married.”

“Husband thief association,” Fans react as Judy Austin praises Yul Edochie on his birthday

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Judy Austin's birthday post for Yul Edochie sparked intense debate among netizens, with some praising their love and others criticising their relationship.

The controversy surrounding Yul Edochie's union with Judy Austin stemmed from his previous marriage to May Yul-Edochie, which ended abruptly after he announced his relationship with Judy. This led to heated exchanges online, with some defending the couple's right to love each other and others condemning Judy for allegedly breaking up Yul's first marriage.
