- Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tolanibaj cleared the air about the rumour of being the woman in a viral video depicting someone with mental health issues
- She assured her followers that she was mentally stable and busy with work and urged them to disregard the false information
- She implored her fans to share positive news about her in 2025
Following a viral video that captured a woman dancing wildly and displaying what many interpreted as signs of madness, Tolani Shobajo, known widely as Tolanibaj from Big Brother Naija Season 5, felt compelled to address the growing speculation about her mental state.
The video, which quickly circulated social media, led to rampant discussions and misunderstandings about her behaviour, prompting the influencer to take matters into her own hands.
To clarify the situation and dispel any misconceptions, Tolanibaj took to her TikTok page @tolanibaj, where she directly confronted the claims of insanity.
In her video, she explained: “I am here to address something real quickly. If you know me, you know I don’t address things on social media because it is not real life, but this particular rumour must be addressed.
“There is a video of a girl who currently has mental issues. Funny enough, I had seen the video on Twitter before the rumour, and I was curious to know what was wrong with her because the lady was pretty; however, the caption made me lose interest.
“Only for me to wake up this morning to people sympathising with me, and lots questioning why I was doing drugs, and debating if it was me or not.
“Confused, I saw others demanding for video if I truly ran mad and was asked to confirm my health status in a video.
“I am doing this video now to let you people know that I am not insane. I am at home working; I am a DJ now, and I sell bags. I am very busy, so my enemy does not have the time to run mad. “The lady in question does not have any resemblance to me. So please, I need you guys not to spread that negativity towards my way this 2025.”
By the end of her video, Tolanibaj had successfully cleared the air, ensuring her supporters that she was fine and that the portrayal of her as a "mad woman" was completely unfounded, instead, she wanted positive comments to be made about her.
