Renowned singer Inetimi Alfred Odom, popularly known as Timay,a has described Afrobeats singer Burna Boy as fearless, considering his approach to life.
Timaya, who acknowledged his cordial relationship with Burna Boy, shared how Burna Boy has always believed in himself before anyone else did.
In a recent interview with Naija FM on December 2, Timaya, amongst many topics, narrated an incident that proved Burna Boy's fearlessness.
“He's my guy. I've always believed in him. Nothing Wey him dey do now Wey dey surprise me. The guy is fearless. There’s a time I remember, we were in the studio for Lekki Phase One. Me, Burna, Waje and Omawunmi. He was saying that there will be a time they will be paying him to enter a jet.
“Omawunmi was like which kain talk be that because we never dey enter jet that time. The guy open door say make everybody dey go. Say make everybody comot for the studio. I told him to calm down but he said why would they be talking down on what he said. He has always believed in himself.” Timaya narrated.
Away from Burna Boy, Timaya also recounted his financial struggles as an artistes particularly the moments before he (Timaya) bought his Bentley.
According to the Dem Mama crooner, he bought a keyholder with faith that he would buy the Bentley. At the time, he recalled not having a dime for the car.
“When I sang Ogoloma, I didn't have money to go house sef. Na just believe. You know say before I buy my Bnetky eh, I first buy the Keyholder. I don't even get money for the Bentley o. I first go to Shiloh for Oyedepo. I'm a Winner,” Timaya added.
Timaya drops 9th studio album ‘Gladiator’ to celebrate 43rd birthday
Earlier, TheRadar reported that in celebration of his birthday, Nigerian singer, Inetimi Odon, popularly known as Timaya, released his ninth studio album Gladiator across all music platforms.
The Gladiator album, which was earlier announced on August 7, features special appearances from popular Afrobeats artistes like Olamide, Phyno and Tiwa Savage.
Timaya, known for his combining Nigerian pop with elements from dancehall, hip pop and as soca, shared a promotional video of the album on his official X page while also wishing himself a happy birthday celebration.
