Ahead of his anticipated album, No Sign of Weakness, Afrobeats singer Burna Boy has dropped his first single of the year, Update.
Update samples the legendary Soul II Soul’s record However Do You Want Me and is expected to be the 33-year-old singer’s lead single.
In a surprising move, 24-year-old singer Shallipopi has released his TikTok viral snippet, Laho. The release comes with a wave of reactions from fans. The song is only available on Apple Music and not on Spotify.
Similarly, Seyi Vibez has also dropped his music project of 2025, an Extended Play (EP), Children of Africa. The EP features songs like Mario Kart, Shaolin, Macho featuring NLE Chippa and Happy song.
All the songs from Seyi Vibez's new EP "Children of Africa" are currently charting on NG Apple Top Songs Chart.
Seyi Vibez's Children of Africa EP has also peaks at #1 on NG Apple Top Albums Chart in only 6 hours of release. It ties Davido's Timeless as the fastest projects to reach the summit of the NG Apple Top Albums Chart.
Meanwhile, Laho and Children of Africa respectively mark Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi’s first releases since parting ways with Dapper following contractual disputes.

TheRadar earlier reported that with Fireboy DML’s most anticipated Adedamola album opening the way for the weekend, numerous music projects dropped on Friday, August 30.
The 14-track album from Fireboy featured a collaboration with classic singer Lagbaja, one of the most anticipated tracks, Back and Forth. He also teamed up with Seun Kuti, Jon Baptiste and Lojay.
