- 150 staff plus 5 years' salary in advance
The winner of the Shine Ya Eye season, Hazel Oyeze Onou, also known as Whitemoney, recently said on a podcast that he has 150 members of staff and has already paid them five years in advance. Many Nigerians find this very difficult to believe. Some Nigerians are of the opinion that he only made this claim for engagement and clout chasing.
- Photoshopped jet and $900 million
On June 17, Ka3na, a Big Brother Naija reality star, posted a picture of a private jet and Range Rover with her name customised on the jet and on the number plate of the car. Nigerians, however, found out that her name was only photoshopped onto the picture of the jet and that she was not the owner of the said jet. Nigerians have since trolled and abused her for lying on social media. Last month, Ka3na also claimed to have made $900 million while sleeping. She said it was money gotten from the sale of properties in London.
- Child labour
The winner of the Level-Up season, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, claimed that she worked in her aunt’s restaurant when she was three years old. Many Nigerians believe this claim is nothing but a lie.
- Virgin pregnancy
Big Brother Naija reality star Wathoni Anyansi claimed she got pregnant as a virgin and without penetration at the age of 23. She claimed that the man only rubbed his genitals on hers and ejaculated without penetrating. Some Nigerians found this difficult to believe.
