Having taken a break from solo projects so far in 2024, famous Nigerian singer David Adeleke, otherwise known as, Davido, has teased fans with an upcoming track he is working on. 

This news comes on the heels of his most recent and anticipated collaboration with legendary African singer Angelique Kidjo on Joy.

Via his official X (formerly Twitter) page, on Wednesday, September 11, Davido made the announcement, also signalling a controversy he might cause with the new track.

Netizens share mixed feelings over Davido’s upcoming solo project in 2024 

Many fans and netizens have shared their thoughts about Davido’s announcement. Some said his absence from all the numerous solo projects dropping in 2024 was felt. For some, he should let his music do the talking rather than make noise about it.

TheRadar earlier reported that following his discovery of Nigerian singer Fave, Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, disclosed that he has always been a fan of her music. 

Davido, during an exclusive interview posted by 49th Street, on July 14, appreciated Fave’s unique style of music and recounted that he was the one who reached out to her for ‘Kante’ off his ‘Timeless’album.
