- Burna Boy didn't drop his anticipated new album as promised
- The album was supposed to drop at midnight on July 30
- Fans have taken to his comment section to express their mixed feelings
24 hours after Nigeria’s self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ Burna Boy teased fans about dropping a new album, he is yet to fulfil his promise.
The album, whose title is rumoured to be No Sign of Weakness, according to the singer, was supposed to drop at midnight on July 30.
Fans seem disappointed after staying up late, patiently waiting to ‘feast’ on the latest project by the popular Afrobeats singer.
With no explanation as to whether or not the date has been postponed, Burna Boy only tweeted No Sign of Weakness, which many fans assumed is the title of his new album and Empty Chairs, one of the upcoming tracks on the album, via his X (formerly Twitter) page.
This was posted at midnight, the same time he promised to drop his anticipated album. From TheRadar’s observation, on the singer’s page, many fans anticipated that a link to the album would follow his tweets but none did.
Meanwhile, a further check by TheRadar on Burna Boy’s social media pages found that before he tweeted those phrases, he posted a link asking fans to join the broadcast link of his official music band, The Outsiders. This was replicated on his Instagram story.
So far, I Told Them' remains Burna Boy's most recent studio album, released in August 2023. The new album will be his eighth studio project.

‘African Giant’ anniversary: Notable milestones achieved by Burna Boy’s album after 5 years
Meanwhile, TheRadar previously reported that derived from Burna Boy’s infamous outburst and self-proclamation ‘African Giant’ his fourth studio album has marked five years since its release.
The phrase was reportedly first used by Burna Boy to express his displeasure towards Coachella’s organizers, who were said to have written his name in small letters. This contributed to the inspiration of his album title.
