In furtherance of Afrobeats' popularity and acceptance on the global stage, African artistes have set new records with their highest-grossing concerts around the world.Β

The list of the top 30 highest-earning performances by African musicians was recently released, and the numbers contained highlight the impressive success and growing influence of African artistes.

According to the data compiled by Africa Facts Zone, leading the pack is Congolese superstar Fally Ipupa, who achieved an impressive $3.16 million in ticket sales at Paris La Defense Arena, France. This monumental achievement not only underscores Fally Ipupa's massive fan base but also marks a historic moment for African music on the global stage.

Hot on Fally Ipupa's heels is Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, whose name dominates the list from second position to 13th. Burna Boy's concerts at Paris La Defense Arena and various other international venues showcase his unparalleled appeal and the high demand for his shows. Notably, his Paris La Defense Arena concert raked in $2.86 million, cementing his status as one of Africa's most successful musicians.

Other notable entries are Burna’s fellow artistes from Nigeria, Davido, Wizkid and Asake.Β

Davido's concert at the O2 Arena in the United Kingdom grossed $1.201 million, while Wizkid's performance at Madison Square Garden in the United States brought in over $1 million. Wizkid also made headlines with three consecutive shows at the O2 Arena, each earning approximately $958,489.

Breakout star, Asake, who recently released a song with Central Cee, also made a significant impact with his concert at Scotiabank Arena in Canada, grossing $916,954. This impressive feat highlights the growing diversity and richness of African music talent making waves on the global scene.

Wizkid’s appearance on the list is perhaps unsurprising as he takes 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th positions. He is one of the biggest artistes and most influential artistes from Africa, and his three-nights-in-a-row shows at the O2 Arena remain unmatched, even for foreign artistes.
