- The crossdresser’s departure comes on the heels of his legal troubles and bribery saga since April 2024
- Bobrisky flight destination is yet to be disclosed as it generates buzz across social media
A few days after his release by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly flown out of Nigeria.
On October 31, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) transferred Bobrisky to its Abuja office for interrogations regarding the ongoing bribery and corruption allegations.
Prior to his recent arrest, Bobrisky was said to have attempted to leave Nigeria for London via Muritala Muhammed Airport Lagos before he was intercepted by the EFCC, thwarting his plans.
In a series of snippet Insta Stories and captions, on Monday, November 4, Bobrisky disclosed his flight out of the country via a first-class ticket.
“See you soon, Nigeria. This girl bought a first-class ticket three times; that’s over 30 million. Raise the bar for this girl,” the controversial crossdresser boasted.

Bobrisky’s controversy and legal troubles
Bobrisky’s departure from Nigeria comes on the heels of his unending controversy. His legal troubles started in April 2024 following his six-month conviction in Kirikiri Prison for naira abuse.
The case escalated with social media activist Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan’s involvement, who leaked Bobrisky’s audio call recording revealing a series of bribery and corruption allegations.
Last week, the crossdresser was removed by EFCC from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Muritala Muhammed Airport while attempting to escape the country to London.
While Bobrisky alerted to being harrassed and bruised on social media, reports also came with his transfer to Abuja on October 31 by the EFCC to answer to his N15 million bribery allegations against the agency.
He was eventually released on bail on November 2, after he reportedly denied bribing the EFCC in a confessional statement made at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
