Mayor Frosh, one of the Streeze pair who was recently evicted from the Big Brother Naija house has revealed that Rhuthee was not a replacement for Nelly.
The BBNaija star said this in an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu following their eviction on Monday, August 19.
In the interview with Streeze, Ebuka asked if Rhuthee was indeed a replacement for Nelly as the other housemates had speculated, but Mayor Frosh responded by saying she was not a replacement. He revealed that he had three options but that he went for Rhuthee because he realised that Nelly was playing a game. In his words: “Nelita was the first duo we connected with. We conversed and it was evident that she (Nelly) liked me and I liked her too. It became more evident when I was connecting with other people in the house, especially when it came to females, she was giving you know, body language, she probably didn’t like it but then she can’t say anything because we are not a thing yet.”
Mayor Frosh said he called her attention to it a few times and asked to know what was going on, but she dismissed it each time saying, nothing, or It’s fine.
He revealed that the rumour about them was already circulating before Nelly admitted that she liked him but because it was just a few days into the show she didn’t want to rush anything. “It was during that space that Sooj came in,” he added. “She told Sooj the same thing but he wasn’t backing down. At a point, it was as if she was using the situation to make me jealous… Rhuthee is not a replacement. In the very beginning, there were three viable options. Dami was the third one. I realised Nelly was playing a game. She wanted a narrative of men fighting over her and I clocked that early. So deep down, I knew it wasn’t going to work,” he said.
He also mentioned that although he has an understanding with Rhuthee, he doesn’t have any regrets about being with her on the show. “Being with Rhuthee, I didn’t have any regrets.
We have an understanding not to rush into anything. We both had an agreement of no commitment,” he added.
The Streeze pair also disclosed that they saw their eviction coming because of Rhuthee’s issues with the custodians and they suspected that they had a target on their backs after they evicted the Ndi Nne pair on Sunday, August 11, using their custodian power. Mayor Frosh said he felt bad for evicting Ndi Nne because of the bond he shared with Nne on the show. “I have nothing against them, but from a strategic point of view, my partner suggested that was the best option,” he said.
Toby Forge, on the other hand, explained that there are two factions in the house. He said: “Initially, it was Wanni x Handi, Mbadiwe Twins and Shaun, then after a while they were doing bestie-bestie with the Mbadiwe Twins, making them four. Then Aces, those guys are sly. Then they took our first allies, the Nelita. We were close with Nelita in the beginning. So, they came in and took the Nelita to the other side. The people that were supposed to be in the middle were the Chekas and Beta but they were dragged to the other side.”
Ebuka also asked if they made any friends in the house, but both Mayor Frosh and Toby Forge said they felt most people in the house were not genuine. They said only Mickey, Victoria, Chizoba, Dj Flo and Anita seemed genuine.
On their career, Mayor Frosh disclosed that he wants to go all out in the entertainment industry. He said his biggest dream is to be a world-renowned actor and added that he feels like he didn’t get enough opportunity to show himself on the show.
For Toby Forge, he said he would do more of content creation and might dive into acting. Choreography, acting and content creation.
The Streeze pair was evicted by their fellow housemates’ vote on Sunday, August 18.
