After a successful eight seasons, Big Brother Naija (BBN) returns with its ninth edition, featuring dynamic duos who bring drama and twists to the house.
The season, ‘No Loose Guard,’ will run for 10 weeks and feature tasks, controversies, relationships, and eviction shows. The last duo standing will be decided on October 6.
The show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, introduced the housemates on Sunday, July 28 during the live show launch, particularly asking about their strategy to win the show.
TheRadar observed that most of the housemates seem to lack a definite strategy but hope to ‘ship’, cause chaos, disguise, and be as authentic as possible.
Meet the BBNaija season 9 housemates
As the new season of Nigeria’s most anticipated reality show begins. TheRadar compiled a brief biography of the dynamic duos, their strategy and how they met. See list below:
1. Zinwe (couple)
The first duo - ZINWE to be introduced in the show this season are in a relationship. Zion and Chinwe. They are not afraid to show their love off to the whole world. They intend to bring chaos and promise to be an unstoppable force this season. They met during a house party and kicked off their relationship.

2. Radicals (Gym buddies)
The second are gym buddies/bros. They take pride in the fact that they are virgins and love to dance. They met each other in the gym. Fairme David and Mickhy does not have a strategy yet but promises to hold on to their friendship til the end.

3. Flourish (Friends)
With 10 years of solid friendship, DJ Flo and Ruthee want to be as real as they can be. They plan to spice the show with chaos. The duo also wants to dissolve ‘ships’ while guarding their friendship at all cost. They don't have a strategy but hope to win with their loyalty to each other.

4. Ndi Nne (Aunt & Niece)
Chinne, the aunt and Nne, the niece look like siblings because of their age difference. They promise to have each other’s back and most importantly to show that blood is thicker than blood. Chinne shared her dreams of creating awareness for diabetes if they win the show.

5. Aces (Friends)
This duo are brought together by their love for fashion designing and have been friends for over a year. Tophler and Sooj come into the house with a strategy to be unpredictable throughout the season to get ahead of the competition and games.

6. Shatoria (Friends)
Shatoria comprises Victoria and Shaun. They plan to stick together as a pair. Victoria is a consultant while Shaun is a model. They met in Dubai and became friends ever since. Together they are in Biggie’s house to compete for the grand prize of N100M.

7. Handi x Wanni (Twins)
A rare but interesting duo are Handi and Wanni, who are identical twins. Probably hilarious, they met in their mother’s womb according to them. This duo are simply here to have fun. Both from Kaduna state and full-time Disk Jockeys (DJs).

8. Beta (Friends)
Ben and Tjay met on the streets of Twitter and struck a cord that brought them together. Sharing what he will miss, Tjay appreciated his wife for allowing come to the show and said he will miss his family. Ben won’t miss anyone except his phone.

9. Mbadiwe Twins
The Mbadiwe twins surprised the audience with another identical resemblance. They are both socialites and lawyers. Ozee and Ocee want to use the platform to feel understood - something they haven’t enjoyed in a long while.

10. Tami (Friends)
Toyosi and Damilola met during their IT program at Lagos Television (LTV). They trust each other and said their approach is to be careful with other housemates while keeping an open mind.

11. Nelita (Friends)
Anita is a beauty queen and Nelly is a pole dancer. Together, they are ready to take the show with their uniqueness and originality. Meanwhile, Nelly revealed that she is not ready for love and might not ship with anyi housemate.

This is another pair of friends that seeks to respect each other’s boundaries. Both content creators, Toby Forge and Mayor, are not open to a relationship but promise a packed experience of fun and vibes.

13. DoubleKay ( Married couple)
DoubleKay - Kassia and Kellyrae dated for 10 years before they got married. They have already implemented their strategy by not revealing to other housemates that they are married.

Chizoba and Onyeka, who are sisters, adopt the strategy of playing the fool to see what other housemates are up to. They are also not giving in to any oppression and would go through the competition fierce and intense.
