The Nigerian music industry has gained significant global recognition, with several artistes receiving prestigious Grammy Awards.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards event was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and Nigeria’s music industry took centre stage in the nomination, boasting an impressive array of nominations that highlight the nation’s rich musical talent.
At the 67th Grammy Awards, some Nigerian artistes made a notable presence alongside a star-studded lineup, including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Sabrina Carpenter.
This year's Nigerian nominees included Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, Tems, Asake, and Yemi Alade, recognised in categories such as Best African Music, Best Global Music Album, Best R&B, and Best African Music.
Although only four attended—Yemi Alade, Rema, Asake, and Tems—Tems emerged as the sole winner among the Nigerian nominees.
Yemi Alade went all cultural in her outfit. Her red flowing velvet gown, with embellishments and accessories that gave the signature look of an African Queen from the Edo culture, represented what she stood for and gave a jaw-dropping expression on the red carpet.
Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, looked stunning in her gold and black flowing dress, which perfectly matched the colour of the Grammy Award. Her shiny golden coat and halter neck top showcased her effort in putting together a fabulous outfit.
Rema made a statement with his snake-skin baggy pants paired with a black leather jacket, giving off a strong impression of confidence and style. Unfortunately, he did not take home any awards.
Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, who has recently garnered attention for his transformation in looks, made a stylish appearance at the event in a military camo outfit, showcasing his classy new look in the baggy pants and jacket.
The artiste expressed his gratitude for such a platform and hoped to win the award. However, Tems got the award. Irrespective of this, he killed it in his outfit.
Here's a look at how these celebrities stunned on the red carpet.
