With Timini Egbuson, there seem to be no ‘carryovers’ in his delivery of an apt and captivating ‘lover boy’ role. Though stereotyped, he passes with flying colours.
The 36-year-old award-winning actor started his acting career in 2010 as a hobby, but today, he is well-known for it. He never hides that his sister, Dakore Egbuson, influenced him as well.
His acting career started in the popular M-net soap opera Tinsel. Timini then went on to spread his wings on MTV’s series Shuga, which shot him into the limelight in the Nigerian movie industry.
Playing mostly the role of ‘lover boy’ in movies and recently transitioning into Nollywood’s ‘bad boy,’ the University of Lagos alumnus has become a prominent name.

2. Unexpected Places (2024)
In the heartfelt and attention-grabbing film Unexpected Places, Timini teams up with Bimbo Ademoye again. Although proving hard-hearted, viewers experience Timini, who plays Chris, becoming soft towards his housekeeper, Bimbo, and their love blossoms into something really beautiful. The movie was produced by Ademoye.
3. Dinner at My Place (2022)
‘Dinner at my place,’ a romantic comedy film captures Timini as a ‘lover boy.’ As a Nigerian American man, he plans to propose to his girlfriend, played by Sophia Alakija and while they are having dinner, his ex-girlfriend shows up unexpectedly.
