No doubt, Afribeats is growing at a rapid pace and with its consistent growth, Nigerian artistes keep setting themselves apart in the game.

Nigerian Afrobeats artistes have continued to take on new challenges, whether it is music shows or stage performances.

It is one thing to hold a concert or music show and a great deal to sell out tickets.

One of the challenges Afrobeats artistes have consistently conquered is holding concerts on the international stage and, not just that, selling out the venue.

One of the popular International venues in the USA is Madison Square Garden, a multipurpose indoor arena in New York City, United States of America. The venue is considered the oldest major sporting facility in the New York metropolitan area.

As of 2016, it was ranked the second busiest music arena in the world in terms of ticket sales. It was also ranked as one of the most expensive arena venues ever built, with a total construction cost of approximately $1.1 billion.

With Asake’s recent sold-out show in 20,000 capacity Madison Square Garden, TheRadar compiled a list of 4 Nigerian Afrobeats artistes who have ever sold out the venue.

Asake recently made history on August 31 2024 by selling out the Madison Square Garden for his Lungu Boy Concert. • Wizkid (2022)

Wizkid became the second Nigerian Afrobeats artiste to sell out the Madison Square Garden in 2022. The show kicked off with Wizkid’s classic Ojuelegba track which created the perfect momentum for the 20,000 audience capacity. It was an electrifying show and a historic show for one of Afrobeats biggest artiste.
