The Best Global Music Album category of the Grammy Awards remains one of the most competitive and Nigerian artistes have made their official album submissions ahead of the 67th annual awards.
Their submissions are aimed at securing nominations after the first round of voting, which will be announced on November 8, 2024.
The final round of voting for the awards will run from December 12, 2024, to January 3, 2025, while the main award ceremony is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025.
The first-ever Nigerian album to win the category was Burna Boy’s Twice as Tall album in 2021 at the 63rd Grammy Awards. His feat came a year after he lost the same category with his African Giant album. One might argue that his win has inspired the high Nigerian album submission for the category in 2024.
